Aurora, Colorado Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in City of Aurora, County of Arapahoe/Adams, Colorado.

The Housing Authority of the City of Aurora (HACA) last accepted Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 15, 2024, until May 31, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: "This opening was only for individuals and families who have a family member who:

• Is non-elderly (between ages 18 and 61), and• Has a verifiable disability, and• Is either experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness OR is transitioning out of an institution or segregated setting primarily for persons with disabilities".

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Non Elderly Disabled
• Homeless
• Households receiving supportive services with Aurora Mental Health, Atlantis Community or Developmental Pathways. Services will be verified with the provider.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
